A great tip for using CastRoller to listen to podcasts on your Nook Color found on the Barnes & Noble Forums
Go to CastRoller on your Nooks Browser.
Find a broadcast that you like! I love NPR Radio… On the shows podcast page just click-on the Download link! This will stream the shows mp3 file to your Nooks Mp3 player. It will not download to your Nook! If you hit the Play button nothing happens… Just hit the download buttion… I know most of you like me in the past had to download files on your home computers and side load the podcast to your Nooks mp3 player’s file. Not any more… Enjoy!

A request that we have received many times from CastRoller users and podcast listeners is for us to develop a CastRoller application. We definitely want to get a great CastRoller app out for those devices, but need hardware for us to develop on. If you want to help get the application out soon, please contribute to our goal of raising $1000 for the application. Click “Chip in” on the widget below to get started.
As a bonus thank you for anyone who contributes: We will give you free access to all versions of the application including the early beta versions. This way you can help shape the development of the apps and get access before anyone else!

Today Facebook announced their new Social Plugins that make it easy for people to “Like” items across the web. We saw this as a great feature for CastRoller, lots of people are already sharing content from CastRoller to Facebook, so why not make it even easier?
So today, we added Facebook “Like” buttons to episode pages and to Podcast pages on CastRoller. Clicking these buttons will instantly share to your Facebook profile what you are Liking. This is a great, quick way to share content with your friends who may not already be using CastRoller.
We also added the Friend’s Activity widget to the logged in homepage so if you have Facebook friends liking content on CastRoller, you will see it there.
Finally, as a quick and nice thing to see, we now display the total number of Plays that each episode has received on CastRoller.

Will asked me to put together some CastRoller Personas for FireFox; so I made two.
The first is the familiar green bubbles you’ll see across a variety of our products and collateral.

The second is a toned down blue version for those who feel the green is a little too much for daily use.

Hope you enjoy them, feel free to let me know your thoughts.

We want to be able to register a vanity url for CastRoller on Facebook, but we need 100 fans first. Anyone who becomes a fan of CastRoller on Facebook and is among the first 100 will be entered into a draw to win a brand new iPod Shuffle.
If you are already a fan, please invite your friends. The sooner we reach 100 fans, the sooner that you’ll have a chance to win a new shuffle!
Update: The contest is now over, and the winner is Calvin Horne who is Calvin on CastRoller.

RSS Player is a great iPhone application that works great with CastRoller. If you haven’t tried RSS Player yet, we’ve got a great deal for you. I’ve got 4 free copies of RSS Player to give away.
Just post a link to your CastRoller profile in the comments below, the first 4 people who comment will get their own free copy of RSS Player!
